Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Childcare Study Programme Tutor for a centre-based role in Leeds. You will work with learners on Childcare Level 1 and PSHE-related education in a classroom setting, reporting to the Education Manager.

This full-time, permanent position runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a starting salary of £27k and a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires prior Early Years experience and suitable teaching or assessor qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering childcare-related content in a classroom setting.
• Qualifications at Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
• Teaching qualifications (AET or above) or assessor qualification are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Childcare Level 1 to learners in a classroom setting.
• Teach PSHE education and maintain standards per DfE CIF.
• Manage administration and develop improvement plans.
• Review progress and set targets with learners.

Overview: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

Reporting to the Education Manager, this role will require the successful candidate to set targets with learners to develop and progress through their Childcare qualification.

Learners will be studying towards Childcare Level 1 & PSHE related education, in a classroom setting.

The role is Centre based in Leeds and is a full-time, permanent position.

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Qualifications and Competencies: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

Essential:

• Level 3 Early Years related qualification
• Previous occupational experience in an Early Years setting
• Previous classroom delivery experience
• AET or above teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, CertEd, PGCE)OR
• Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32 etc)

Purpose of the role: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

• Delivering Childcare Level 1 to learners in a classroom setting
• PSHE Education
• Maintain standards in accordance with guidelines set by the DfE
• Manage administration of company systems, procedures and responsibilities
• Maintain delivery standards in accordance with the Common Inspection Framework (CIF) and formulate development plans for ongoing improvement

Duties/Responsibilities: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

• Review learners progress in accordance with contractual requirements and company systems
• Identify learners support needs e.g. Functional Skills and Soft Skills
• Evaluate and document learner progress
• Ensure targets are met by learners
• Agree and set targets with learners to develop and progress through the programme
• Ensure target setting motivates the learner and give written and verbal feedback on progression towards agreed targets
