Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a Buckinghamshire school to support non-verbal students and help them access learning. You will implement IEPs and use alternative communication methods to assist progress and participation.

The role offers safeguarding training, weekly pay, a dedicated consultant, and a strong support network to help you develop skills in PECS and Makaton while supporting inclusive classroom practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with non-verbal students or in a SEN setting
• Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
• Willingness to undertake training if needed

Responsibilities

• Support non-verbal students with learning and communication needs
• Implement IEPs and use alternative communication strategies
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff
• Promote independence and social interaction among students
