Job summary

Apex Education Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Romford school in Essex. You will work with reception children, supporting safety, comfort and inclusion throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assisting with wheelchair transfers, adapting activities, and helping with personal care while collaborating with teachers and parents to help the child reach their potential.

• Understand phonics and EYFS curriculum.
• Experience supporting a child in a wheelchair and with personal care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers and personal care for a child in a wheelchair.
• Support access to resources and ensure materials are within reach.
• Adapt activities to be accessible for the child and modify tasks as needed.
• Work with teachers and parents to promote the child’s learning and development.
• Contribute to the child’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical skills through play.
