Randstad Education Leeds is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant for a warm primary setting in Leeds. This part-time role helps a pupil access the daily curriculum and supporting inclusion within the classroom.

You will work with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement IEPs, adapt activities, and support emotional regulation and independence. The position offers ongoing work for the rest of the school year with strong potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional educational or sensory needs in education, care, or early years.
• Patient, warm and adaptable approach tailored to individual learning styles.
• GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above.
• Enhanced DBS registered with Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with staff and parents.

Responsabilités

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil, enabling access to the daily curriculum.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement IEPs.
• Adapt activities, schedules and resources to meet needs.
• Foster emotional regulation, social confidence and independence.
• Assist during morning routines, transitions and breaks for a safe space.
• Keep accurate notes on daily progress for the team and parents.
