Emotional Support Worker Position at a Local School

Our lovely school is looking for an Emotional Support Worker to join their team in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students. The role involves providing tailored emotional support to help students thrive both academically and emotionally.

The successful candidate will:

1. Provide 1-to-1 and group support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
2. Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with educational staff.
3. Foster positive relationships with students to promote trust and emotional safety.
4. Help students identify and express their emotions healthily.
5. Facilitate social skills development and conflict resolution.
6. Monitor and report on student progress regarding emotional and behavioral changes.
7. Support and encourage emotional awareness.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Experience supporting children and young people with educational and mental health needs (beneficial but not essential).
2. An educational background in Psychology, Criminology, or Education (advantageous).
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children.

Key Information:

• Location: Bristol – BS3
• Pay: £90 to £100 per day DOE
• Focus: Mental Health Support and Facilitating Interventions
• Start Date: ASAP
• Type: Full-time
