The Cowplain School seeks a skilled and inspirational Second in Science to work with the Head of Science and Technology in a three-person leadership team to develop Science and raise department results. This is a fantastic step into leadership for an ambitious Science teacher.

You will form effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues, driving quality teaching and targeted interventions to raise attainment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead or support science teaching.
• Strong commitment to student progress and outcomes.
• Willingness to develop into middle/senior leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure curricula across Science subjects challenge students and build character.
• Drive teaching quality and learning in the Science departments.
• Monitor student progress and deliver impactful interventions in collaboration with the Head of Science and Technology.
