Job summary

The Cowplain School in Waterlooville is seeking to appoint a skilled and inspirational Second in Science to work with the Head of Science and Technology in a three-person leadership team to develop Science further.

This role offers an opportunity for an ambitious Science teacher to embark on a leadership journey, driving high-quality teaching, monitoring student progress, and shaping both Science subjects in the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Science teacher with a record of improving student progress.
• Evidence of effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

• Ensure curricula across both subject areas challenge students to think hard, understand diversity and develop their character.
• Drive forward the quality of teaching and learning in both departments.
• Monitor and support the progress of students, collaborating with the Head of Science and Technology to deliver interventions.

You should be an excellent Scienceteacher who has demonstrated that your students make good progress. We wouldalso expect you to be someone who forms effective relationships with students,parents and colleagues and has the skills and drive to ensure our studentsreceive the best possible learning opportunities.
