Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Strategy & Operations Manager for Emerging Fraud & Abuse in London. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the London office, and is an individual contributor position.

You will lead discovery, investigate new abuse vectors, quantify impact, and design scalable controls. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, and Policy to stay ahead of fraudsters.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating complex fraud, abuse, or operational risk.
• Strong SQL and the ability to work with large datasets.
• A structured approach to solving ambiguous problems.
• Experience influencing Product, Engineering, and Data Science without direct authority.
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations.
• Strong commercial judgement balancing customer experience with risk.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging abuse patterns and vulnerabilities across products and journeys.
• Define the roadmap for emerging fraud prevention across the business.
• Lead investigations to understand how abuse occurs and strengthen controls.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to implement scalable measures.
• Develop frameworks to detect and respond to new threats across teams.
