Job summary

Emtec Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our pre‑construction team in Leeds or Newcastle. You will own mechanical estimating from design through tender submission, work with pre‑construction, commercial and delivery teams, and engage with the supply chain to produce accurate, competitive cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical estimating for M&E/building services.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Skilled in producing detailed cost estimates and tender breakdowns.
• Experience evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Proficient with estimating software such as Trimble.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical estimates from early design through tender submission.
• Work with pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams.
• Engage with supply chain to produce accurate, competitive estimates.
• Support bid preparation and risk identification across bids.
• Maintain robust estimating library and pricing data.
