The Emerald Group is seeking a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary to help understand, manage and optimise capital positioning within Life Insurance, General Insurance or Pensions. You will work with Finance and business stakeholders to analyse experience, calibrate assumptions and support risk management decisions.

The role offers ownership of meaningful work, exposure to capital modelling, and a collaborative team environment suitable for actuaries advancing their careers.

Qualificações

• Nearly qualified actuary with 1–2 exams remaining, or newly qualified with up to 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Life Insurance, General Insurance or Pensions.
• Knowledge of Solvency UK and the wider UK regulatory framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate meaningful insights.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse demographic and economic experience to support robust actuarial decision making and business insight.
• Use actuarial judgement to help set assumptions used within capital and risk management activities.
• Support the calibration of capital stresses.
• Produce high-quality reporting and analysis on experience investigations, assumptions and capital outcomes.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of risk and capital methodologies, processes and controls.
• Support a range of change initiatives, strategic projects and capital-related developments across the business.
• Mentor or collaborate with actuarial students and colleagues.
