Job summary

Sussex Partnership Foundation NHS Trust in Sussex is seeking an experienced emergency planning and business continuity professional to join our Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) team. You will support planning, training, exercising and incident response to safeguard essential services across the trust.

Job description

We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic emergency planning and business continuity professional to join our Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) team at Sussex Partnership Foundation NHS Trust (SPFT) in Sussex.

As a EPRR practitioner, your goal is to support the Trust in its ability to plan for and respond to emergency incidents. You will be joining a small team who offer a friendly and supportive environment, dedicated to providing a high-quality service to the trust. Our core service includes meeting the needs of the NHSE EPRR Core Standards, including major, critical and business continuity planning, training and exercising, incident response and debriefing and assessing local risks within Sussex which may affect the trusts critical services.

You will be required to work with division and service leads across Sussex and support them in their emergency planning arrangements, including planning, training, exercising, supporting response and debriefing., Act as the Trust's EPRR subject matter expert, providing specialist advice and guidance on emergency planning, resilience, business continuity, and incident response

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Trust's EPRR and BC programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, NHS England EPRR Frameworks and guidance.

Coordinate and manage the Trust's annual NHS England EPRR Core Standards self-assessment process, supporting assurance and compliance reporting.

Design, deliver, and evaluate EPRR and BC training and exercising programmes for staff across the organisation, including debriefing and ensuring training meets statutory and national requirements.

Support the operational response to incidents, emergencies, and business continuity disruptions, providing specialist advice and coordinating EPRR activities as required.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Represent the Trust at EPRR meetings, exercises, forums, and resilience groups, ensuring relevant information is disseminated and acted upon within the organisation.

Work closely with operational and corporate services to ensure robust business continuity arrangements are embedded across the Trust and supported by appropriate contingency plans.

Maintain accurate EPRR records, documentation, and assurance evidence, ensuring information is managed appropriately and best practice is shared across the organisation.
