Job summary

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking an Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Officer to support their responsibilities as a Category 1 Responder. You will maintain emergency plans and liaise with the County Council, LRF and other bodies, providing expertise on Corporate Business Continuity Strategy and ensuring services regularly review their plans for disruptions.

The role offers 37 hours per week, permanent status, and hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Maintain emergency plans and liaise with the County Council, LRF and other bodies as appropriate.
• Provide expertise and advice on Corporate Business Continuity Strategy, ensuring services review their plans for disruptive incidents.
• Deliver related presentations, training packages and exercises to staff, other agencies, members and the public.
