Job summary

London Borough of Bexley is seeking an Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Officer to help prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. You will support the resilience programme, ensuring compliance with national and regional standards and legislation.

You will deputise for the Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Manager, develop plans, deliver training and exercises, and provide professional advice to services and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency planning, business continuity, resilience or civil protection or related operational role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to strengthen organisational resilience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver training and exercises.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review emergency and business continuity plans.
• Deliver training and exercising programmes for staff and partners.
• Provide professional advice to services and partners and support incident response.
