Job summary
Halton Borough Council is seeking a proactive Emergency Planning professional to support the Community Safety and Protection Team. You will assist with preparing and exercising emergency plans, deliver training for on-call responders, and coordinate multi-agency risk reviews.
A Level 4 qualification or equivalent is required, with travel across the borough and occasional evenings/weekends as needed. You will work within the Emergency Planning Team under the Environment and Regeneration
Qualifications
- Experience in emergency planning and response activities.
- Ability to develop and deliver training and awareness sessions.
- Experience collaborating with multi-agency partners to identify risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, review and exercising of the Council's Emergency plans for Major Incidents and related emergencies.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to on-call Responders, Elected Members, and colleagues with proper records.
- Write and review emergency and business continuity plans with multi-agency partners.
- Organise and prioritise a busy workload and be willing to travel as needed.
