Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a part-time 24/N Patient Safety Assistant for the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include direct patient observation, rounding with the RN, maintaining environmental safety, answering call lights, restocking supplies, transporting patients, and documentation.

Requires a high school diploma/GED and current BLS; de-escalation training completed during orientation.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS current within 3 months of hire.
• De-escalation training during orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and continuous observation of patient at arm's length.
• Participate in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensure environmental safety for patient.
• Answer call lights and escalate to RN for care issues.
• Restock department supplies and precaution stations.
• Transport patients within the department as needed.
• Clean patient equipment following protocol.
• Complete patient safety sitter competency and required documentation.
• Communicate changes in patient behavior to RN.
• Support quality improvement activities on the unit.
