Job summary

County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy Emergency Department. You will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to acutely unwell and injured adults and children, delivering safe, effective nursing care throughout the emergency care journey.

The role requires excellent communication and clinical skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK NMC registration as a nurse.
• Registration in Adult or Paediatric branch at Level 1.
• Qualifications ENB 998 or equivalent, ILS/ALS/PILS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised nursing care.
• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate care in the ED.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
