Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust's Wexham Park Hospital seeks a Clinical Matron for the Emergency Department. This senior nursing leader will drive safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED, providing visible leadership and role modelling clinical excellence.

The role includes governance, workforce development, and operational oversight of the department, with a focus on patient flow, performance against targets, and staff wellbeing across sites.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level; NMC Registration; extensive post-registration emergency qualifications.
• Experience at senior clinical/managerial level in emergency medicine; NHS Band 7 experience desirable.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, and NHS performance targets.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for ED nursing and clinical staff.
• Ensure high standards of patient safety, quality, and experience.
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, and retention.
• Promote continuous improvement and accountability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support flow and targets.
• Lead nursing governance and regulatory compliance.
