Radis Community Care has an opening for a Care Assistant to join our Emergency Care Scheme in Gloucester, supporting individuals in their own homes with emergency care.
About the role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide flexible and responsive care to service users living at home with their families. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene, light meal preparation, domestic tasks, and medication management. We offer a 48-hour respite service for family carers during emergencies, illness, or hospital stays, while awaiting alternative arrangements. A valid driver’s license is essential due to varied localities.
Various shifts are available, including alternate weekends, full-time, and part-time roles.
The service operates 24 hours a day with an on-call system. You will be paid for 11 hours at a basic rate. If called out, you may need to stay at the client’s property for up to 48 hours until further arrangements are made. Call-out hours are paid at a higher hourly rate.
