Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Emergency Bed Service Coordinator to support the PaNDR service, coordinating neonatal and paediatric transfers regionally. You will be the first contact for referrals and manage bed/cot availability, working to ensure smooth patient transfers 24/7.

The role requires flexibility with shift patterns, good communication, and experience in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer services or front-of-house
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Good communication across channels (phone, email, in-person)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional cot availability
• Facilitate transfers to Neonatal and Paediatric ICUs
• First point of contact for referrals
• Provide 24/7 admin support (shifts 08:00–20:00 / 20:00–08:00)
