Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. in London is seeking an EMEA Payroll Specialist to join the Finance department. You will manage regional payrolls, ensure accurate processing, and maintain relationships with external bureaus while upholding SOX controls.

You will collaborate with team managers to develop SOPs, drive payroll improvements, and support auditors and year-end activities, with occasional travel to Reading as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant and demonstrable knowledge of payroll processing.
• Experienced in managing multiple EMEA payroll processing.
• Experience of payroll journal booking and reconciliations.
• Demonstrated experience of identifying and implementing payroll process improvements.
• Solid organizational skills & ability to multi-task, time management skills.
• Successful management of vendors to achieve company goals.
• Knowledge of and experience working with SOX compliance.
• Previous related accounting support experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional payrolls, ensure consistent processes and timely correct payments.
• Build and maintain relationships with external payroll bureaus; monitor service levels.
• Prepare monthly payroll journals.
• Ensure payroll payments (tax, pension, etc.) are approved and paid on time.
• RSU/stock option processing.
• Collaborate to create, update, and maintain SOPs.
• Maintain SOX compliance (SAS 70/SSAE16 where applicable).
• Handle payroll queries efficiently.
• Assist with statutory reporting and year-end activities with internal/external partners.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide information as required.
• Provide support and cover for payroll team members.
• Support payroll roadmap delivery, including ADP migration and EMEA automation/standardisation.
