Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Glasgow is seeking an EMEA Payroll Administrator to join the Human Resources Division. You will manage local payroll providers, coordinate net pay and third-party payments, and deliver accurate payroll output across locations.

The role requires strong payroll experience in a professional setting, vendor management, and Excel-based reporting. You will maintain SOX-compliant controls and provide timely updates to leadership while supporting office openings and payroll changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage local payroll providers, including monthly instructions, payroll output reconciliation and service delivery.
• Coordinate net pay, third-party payments and payroll funding across locations.
• Provide payroll and benefits reporting to Compensation Accounting and HR Benefits.
• Resolve HR, employee and vendor queries, and reconcile payroll and general ledger data.
• Review and standardize payroll processing, payments and vendor services.
• Support new office openings and maintain standard payroll set-up procedures.
• Maintain payroll controls, SOX-compliant documentation and system testing.
• Provide senior leadership with timely issue updates and produce metrics to identify efficiencies and improvements.
• Act as the key payroll contact for HR and employees, providing compliant advice and resolving queries within agreed service levels.
• Monitor and report overpayments, and support other payroll duties as required.
