Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in London is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to deliver end-to-end payroll for multiple countries in the EMEA region. You will support the Global Payroll transformation, collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors, and drive automation and process improvements in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience processing payroll, in-house, for a population of 2K+ and managing complex and multiple payrolls across EMEA.
• Sound knowledge of legislation, social security regulations, and benefits regulations across European countries.
• Experience with payroll automation and continuous process improvements.
• Experience with local payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills for reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and handling confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver the end-to-end payroll cycle for various countries in EMEA, ensuring accurate, on-time payments and compliance.
• Prepare by-law payroll documents and registrations such as termination documents and annual tax statements.
• Maintain payroll cut-off dates and coordinate with payroll provider and business partners.
• Support payroll controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Contribute to Global Payroll Transformation projects and payroll process digitalisation.
• Collaborate with The People Team, Finance, and other stakeholders to maintain an efficient payroll service.
