Job summary

Insight is seeking a Regional Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across the EMEA region for 15+ countries, supporting around 3,000 teammates.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong governance, and collaboration with HR, Finance, Legal, external providers, and our Global Payroll team to drive payroll excellence across the region. The position is based in Sheffield, with 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing multi-country payroll operations.
• Experience leading payroll teams.
• Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation, tax, social security, pensions and benefits.
• Experience managing payroll data across jurisdictions.
• Understanding of GDPR and payroll data protection requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and enterprise payroll platforms like ADP/Workday.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations across multiple countries, currencies, and pay frequencies.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and regional regulations.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and external advisors.
• Drive payroll integrations, harmonisation, and onboarding after acquisitions.
• Support pay transparency and equity initiatives with HR and Compensation teams.
• Oversee GDPR/data protection compliance and payroll governance.
• Support month-end payroll reporting and financial controls.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled improvements for efficiency.
• Develop and mentor the regional payroll team.
