Amazon UK seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the UK EMEA Payments Accounting team in London. The role focuses on controllership and accounting across multiple legal entities, coordinating with stakeholders in different locations.

The role drives cross-border projects, develops best practice in processes and controllership, and helps implement policies with the financial leadership team across worldwide Amazon locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks with ability to apply them
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience supporting month-end closing processes and financial reporting
• Experience implementing controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions

Responsabilités

• Prepare deliverables to support internal and external financial reporting, including analytic commentary
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and annual financial statements
• Lead certain month-end close activities to meet deadlines
• Improve accounting processes and controls for high-volume transactions
• Participate in cross-functional project launches from scoping to testing and launch
• Engage with stakeholders across business units on integration projects
