Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. in London is seeking a Finance Manager for the Statutory Financial Reporting and Compliance team.

You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for the EMEA region and drive cross-border accounting improvements across multiple entities and systems. This role partners with senior management to standardize controls, implement best practices, and deliver accurate financial reporting under US, local GAAP and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role.
• Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
• Experience applying KPIs to analyses.
• Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets.
• Experience creating automation-driven process improvements.
• Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership.

Responsibilities

• Representing the EMEA Accounting team.
• Leading meetings with senior management on financial statements.
• Ownership of monthly, quarterly, annual closes for EMEA with reviews and escalations.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls.
• Deliver cross-country projects to enhance the control environment.
• Ensure EMEA accounting aligns with Worldwide Accounting Organization.
• Influence accounting terminology for non-finance community.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
