Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. in London is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the UK EMEA Non-AWS Lease Accounting team, supporting controllership and accounting across multiple entities and collaborating with stakeholders in diverse locations.

The role focuses on cross-border initiatives, process improvements, and policy implementation with global finance leadership, driving strong financial reporting and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP with ability to apply in day-to-day financial activities.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Experience implementing controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments.
• Experience using financial models, KPIs and data analysis to support business decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• CMA or professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP standards.
• Experience in large public accounting firms or multinational corporate tax.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliverables for internal and external financial reporting with analytic commentary.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end close activities and meet deadlines.
• Improve accounting processes and controls for high-volume transactions.
• Participate in cross-functional project launches from scoping to testing and launch.
• Engage with stakeholders across business units on integration projects.
