EMEA Legal Pricing Strategist (12‑month Secondment)

Job summary

LOD group seeks a Legal Pricing Manager to support its EMEA Legal Operations on a 12-month secondment. You will lead AFAs negotiations, pricing strategies and legal spend management across the EMEA region, partnering with outside counsel and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires delivering financial models, market benchmarking and innovative pricing initiatives. The position is full-time with three days per week in London, starting December 2026, offering exposure

Qualifications

• Experience in legal pricing, commercial finance, procurement or legal operations.
• Strong understanding of law firm pricing structures and AFAs.
• Proven experience negotiating rates and terms with external law firms.
• Experience benchmarking legal rates across regions.
• Strong financial modelling and commercial analysis skills.
• Experience in both law firms and in-house legal teams is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience using AI tools to improve pricing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EMEA Legal Operations Lead on spend management initiatives.
• Lead negotiations of AFAs on high-value matters.
• Provide training and guidance on AFAs and pricing strategies.
• Manage end-to-end RFP processes with outside counsel.
• Collaborate to develop RFP templates and sourcing frameworks.
• Work with external vendors to enhance RFP tools and processes.
• Conduct legal market analysis and rate reviews across EMEA.
• Develop financial models and insights to support pricing decisions.
• Draft process documentation and playbooks.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with external law firms.
• Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Apply creative thinking to pricing challenges; use AI-enabled tools.
