Job summary

ICE is seeking a Director, Internal Audit to lead the EMEA mandate across nine entities, including governance, risk assessment and assurance delivery. The role requires senior leadership, risk architecture thinking, and coaching across managers and staff.

You will own the audit plan, oversee complex engagements, and drive methodology uplift while ensuring high-quality reporting to the board and committees. London-based, with global remit and collaboration with IA leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant Internal Audit, assurance, risk or control leadership experience in complex, regulated financial services.
• Ability to oversee audit delivery across portfolios, business models and jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of governance, operational risk, regulatory expectations, and the Internal Audit charter.
• Ability to lead complex audits as an audit mandate controller.
• Ability to brief senior leaders and communicate under pressure.
• People leadership, coaching and development across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the risk-based audit plan: development, refresh and delivery oversight across the EMEA remit.
• Primary oversight of clearing franchise audit delivery, including interaction with senior management.
• Deliver the wider mandate through portfolio owners with visibility over plan status and resourcing.
• Report concise, evidence-based insights with clear action and impact for senior stakeholders.
• Govern quality by challenging overstatement and unclear narratives.
• Lead people: set expectations, develop staff and foster career progression.
