Job summary

Mistral is seeking an HR People Ops professional to shape and maintain our People Operations across France, the UK, and the US. You will own onboarding, contracts, compliance, payroll coordination, and employee records, ensuring accurate and timely people processes in a fast-growing, globally distributed environment.

Ideally based in London, you will partner with managers and external partners to deliver a smooth employee experience while upholding local employment laws and company policies

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, especially managing international employee populations.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and HR policy, with expertise in French, UK, and US regulations.
• Direct experience with payroll administration and benefits management across different regions.
• Ability to resolve employee relations matters, guide teams, and provide accurate HR support.
• Skilled at streamlining HR processes to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll technology platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on approach, high level of ownership, and a builder's mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding for new joiners, coordinating HR systems, IT setup, and office arrangements
• Formalize and manage all employee contractual documentation and processes throughout the employment lifecycle
• Maintain and update HR records, policies, and employee handbooks as regulations and company practices evolve
• Process payroll and collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate payments in France, the UK, and the US
• Handle immigration requests, work permits, and related documentation
• Manage day-to-day HR inquiries, employee benefits administration, and time off policies
• Ensure adherence to local employment laws, conduct compliance audits, and mitigate organizational risk
• Lead process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Finance and Talent Acquisition
