Job summary

CooperVision Limited in Fareham, Hampshire, is seeking a Financial Accountant, Global Business Services, Finance EMEA, to lead specific markets' financial reporting. You will partner with market controllers, finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate revenue, expenses, and compliance with US GAAP and SOX.

The role involves month-end close, revenue recognition, and coordinating with internal and external audits. On-site role with 37.5 hours/week, based in Fareham.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or Shared Service environment.
• Experience with integrated ERP systems (Oracle R12, SAP).
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build internal relationships.
• Knowledge of SOX and US GAAP practices and controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly financial reporting for specified markets.
• Partner with market finance, business controllers and audit teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee revenue, operating expenses (OpEx) and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support statutory reporting, audits, and corporate certifications.
