Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the UK finance function from its South Lanarkshire base. You will partner with the leadership team, drive robust financial control, and provide commercial insight to improve profitability and working capital across the UK and Europe.

The role involves close collaboration with the European finance organisation, regular travel to the South of England, and a hands-on, advisory approach in a lean structure.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial control.
• Proven ability to partner with operational and commercial teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with ERP/finance systems and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and UK financial reporting.
• Manage month-end, year-end and forecasting cycles.
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasts.
• Analyse margins, costs and variances to improve profitability.
• Manage working capital and cash flow.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and robust financial controls.
• Support statutory reporting, audit and tax requirements.
• Provide commercial analysis and financial modelling for decision making.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Drive improvements to finance processes and systems.
