Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an EMEA Engineering Lead to oversee mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and workforce development for facilities within a portfolio.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with contractors and tenants to ensure asset uptime and lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive preventive maintenance improvements, and mentor staff while aligning with CBRE RISE values and departmental plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Chartered Engineer status preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in fast-paced blue chip corporate environments and critical facilities.
  • Ability to convey performance expectations and handle problems in a matrix environment.
  • Leadership to motivate teams to achieve operational targets across disciplines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Coordinate and manage daily activities; set work schedules and deadlines.
  • Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities; develop budgets.
  • Recommend improvements for preventive maintenance and safety manuals.
  • Act as point of contact for outside contractors and tenant finish personnel.
  • Oversee building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
  • Maintain communication with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors.
  • Drive acquisition of new management contracts and develop as-built drawings.
  • Manage engineering incidents and stakeholder management.
  • Apply knowledge of the business to achieve department objectives.
  • Lead by example in CBRE RISE values; influence others while following policies.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems; understand broader impact.
  • Improve methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.
