EMEA ER & Compliance Director: Lead & Scale

Job summary

Legora in London is seeking a Director of Employee Relations & Compliance for EMEA. You will own end-to-end ER casework, employment law compliance and jurisdictional risk across Germany, the UK, Sweden, Italy, Spain and France, reporting to the EMEA People Director.

Based in London, you will build dedicated ER capability where none exists today, extend Stockholm strengths, and collaborate with NORAM and APAC to align global standards while adapting to local nuances.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading ER, HR compliance or similar at a fast-scaling company.
• Deep knowledge of employment law across multiple markets in Europe.
• Proven track record in investigations, disciplinaries and terminations.
• Experience building ER or compliance from the ground up.
• Senior, independent voice capable of influencing leadership.
• Based in London or willing to relocate; willingness to travel across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead ER casework across all markets end to end.
• Own compliance and jurisdictional risk management for six markets.
• Build and scale dedicated ER capability across EMEA.
• Partner with People Partners, Operations, and Rewards.
• Turn case patterns into actionable insights for leadership.
