Job summary

Airwallex in London is seeking a visionary Director of Solutions Engineering to lead our EMEA pre-sales and post go-live performance for select clients. You will shape GTM strategy, scale a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers and Architects, and partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive revenue.

The role requires 10+ years in technical client-facing roles, 3+ years in senior leadership, and a track record of delivering complex API-driven software solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant track record leading and scaling global or multi-regional Presales or Solutions Architecture teams in EMEA.
• ≥3 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• ≥10 years in technical, client-facing roles delivering complex software solutions.
• Strategic thinker with strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and go-to-market motions.
• Ability to position technical solutions to solve core business problems for enterprise clients.
• Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills with cross-functional impact.
• Knowledge of payments ecosystem, financial services, or fintech is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale EMEA Solutions Engineering teams to drive technical excellence and customer obsession.
• Develop and execute the global vision and strategy for Solutions Engineering in alignment with Sales and Growth objectives.
• Own the technical sales strategy and enable the team to deliver compelling demos, POCs, and complex solution designs.
• Partner with Sales and Product to influence product roadmap and GTM strategy based on customer needs.
• Implement scalable processes and best practices for pre-sales and implementation lifecycles.
