Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, seeks a Manager of Corporate Business Development to join the Global Strategy group in the UK. You will support inorganic growth across the EMEA region, collaborating with senior leaders to identify and assess strategic opportunities and develop investment cases.

In this role you will build pipelines, conduct market analysis, and assist in preparing executive presentations and business cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or a related field.
• Experience in management consulting, operations, strategic business development or a similar role with strong exposure to supporting M&A activities.
• Proven ability to collect, evaluate and synthesize market trends, competitive landscapes and growth opportunities.
• Experience with market assessment, including primary and secondary market research, segmentation, and data-driven growth projections.
• Experience in supporting the development of investment theses, business cases, and executive presentations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams across functions.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop acquisition opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, industry intelligence, and stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with strategic and financial objectives.
• Monitor market trends and technologies to inform the inorganic growth pipeline.
• Support transaction execution from screening to due diligence and business case preparation.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Take ownership of opportunities from signal to decision with clear accountability.
