Job summary

Nicholas Howard Ltd. is recruiting a Senior Compliance Specialist, EMEA, to join the Compliance Team in London. The role reports to the Director, Compliance Officer, EMEA and supports HCP/HCO engagement and sponsorship activities across EMEA, ensuring adherence to laws, codes and internal policies.

Hybrid or in-person work at the London Office in Hammersmith with at least one day in the office per week, and travel to other offices as needed to support business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and proven experience in Ethics & Compliance or similar internal control roles in Life Sciences.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to global Life Sciences companies, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
• Commitment to ethics and integrity and ability to drive an ethical culture.
• Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally across diverse teams.
• English fluency in written and spoken form.
• Experience advising on HCP/HCO engagements in line with industry codes and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for compliance matters relating to HCP engagement across EMEA.
• Partner with business functions to provide risk-based guidance on HCP interactions.
• Lead the compliance review and approval of HCP engagement activities, including fair market value and transfers of value.
• Ensure the HCP engagement framework is understood and applied; provide reports to the Director, Compliance Officer, EMEA.
• Own end-to-end sponsorship review and approval process across EMEA, ensuring alignment with laws and codes.
• Oversee sponsorship contracting, drafting and issuing agreements using templates.
• Maintain trackers and documentation for transparency and audit readiness; conduct post-activity reviews.
• Design and deliver targeted training to address compliance needs.
• Grow the company's Ethics and Compliance Programme.
• Work cross-functionally to embed a culture of integrity and ethical business conduct.
