Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH seeks a Compensation Analyst to support the design and administration of pay programs across the EMEA region. The role focuses on benchmarking, market analyses, job evaluation, and maintaining country pay ranges within a multinational environment.

You will collaborate with the Total Rewards team to deliver accurate data, support salary budgeting, and assist with due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, while keeping abreast of evolving compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR or related field.
• Knowledge of UK/European compensation practices and governance.
• Understanding of job grading, benchmarking and salary survey methodology.
• Familiarity with Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Radford data providers.
• Strong analytical skills with data and spreadsheets; Excel proficiency.
• Working knowledge of HR systems or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support compensation processes, programs and tools under guidance.
• Benchmark, analyze and review compensation data at country level.
• Provide job analysis and grade levelling.
• Conduct market pay reviews and maintain country pay ranges.
• Support salary survey data collection and initial analysis.
• Assist in market pricing exercises and pay analysis projects.
• Monitor pay practices to ensure market competitiveness.
• Ensure compliance with policies and relevant regulations.
• Support salary budget planning and analysis.
• Model and analyze variable pay plan proposals.
• Prepare data for due diligence during mergers and acquisitions.
• Stay informed of gender pay gap, pay transparency, data privacy requirements.
• Assist with government filings, audit prep and tax documentation.
• Support annual compensation processes including merit reviews and surveys.
