Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH in London seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate multi-country payroll across the EMEA region. Based in London, you will own end-to-end payroll cycles and work with the central payroll team, HR, and finance to ensure timely, compliant payouts.

You will maintain payroll knowledge across countries, manage relationships with external vendors, support process improvements, and provide clear, auditable reporting to the business and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience processing EMEA payroll with knowledge of legislation, social security regulations, and benefits regulations.
• Experience working with local payroll providers and managing relationships with external vendors.
• Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and handling confidential data.
• Ability to work across time zones and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end payroll for various countries in EMEA, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare by-law payroll documents and registrations for each country.
• Adhere to payroll cut-off dates with providers and partners.
• Maintain up-to-date payroll legislation knowledge and policies.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll queries from employees, tax authorities, and providers.
• Provide month-end payroll reports to Finance and assist with audits.
• Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and governance.
