EMEA Coatings Technical Services Lead (Field-Based)

Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a technically skilled Field Based Technical Service professional to support packaging coatings across the EMEA region. You will coordinate trials, lead project activities and provide hands-on technical service to customers.

You will report to the Technical Service Manager EMEA and travel within EMEA up to 70%, engaging with customers at their sites and collaborating with internal labs to drive best-in-class performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working in a technical support / service role in the coatings or packaging industry.
• Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Engineering background.
• English speaker to a professional level.
• Willingness to travel within EMEA (up to 70%).

Responsibilities

• Attend important trials across the entire EMEA region.
• Provide technical support to customers with new technologies and legacy products.
• Lead technical assistance to our major customers.
• Deliver training programmes to broaden the skills matrix for all areas of the segment both within PPG and at customer facilities.
• Partner with equipment suppliers to support PPG understanding and enhance technical support capability of PPG technical team at customer sites.
• Deliver world-class post-conversion technical support to enhance plant relationships and to respond quickly to problems using established problem analyses, including Kepner-Tregoe programmes.
