Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an Associate Director of Civil & Structural - EMEA to lead a team of Civil and Structural engineers across the EMEA region, based in Birmingham or Dublin. You will drive QA/QC, support business development, and ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant designs for life sciences facilities.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, a BEng in Civil & Structural Engineering, and proven leadership in large multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Pharmaceutical/BioPharmaceutical facilities (cGMP).
• Ability to lead and coordinate Civil & Structural team across EMEA.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Chartered Engineer status (MICE or IStructE).

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic direction for CSA – EMEA.
• Coordinate scope, cost, and scheduling with project managers.
• Mentor and develop Civil & Structural professionals in the region.
• Support business development with technical input and proposals.
• Ensure alignment with IPS quality standards and procedures.
