Parna Recruitment is recruiting for an EMEA Accountant to join our client's growing international finance team in Reading. The role suits a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant seeking to develop skills and progress within a global business.

You will cover accounting, financial reporting, compliance and business partnering across EMEA, collaborating with finance colleagues worldwide; you will work with US GAAP, VAT, SOX controls and Oracle ERP while supporting month-end close and process

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in aerospace/defence, manufacturing, or industrial environments desirable.
• Strong ERP knowledge, ideally Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, VAT, and SOX controls advantageous.
• French language skills beneficial but not essential.
• Proactive, hands-on with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and organisational skills in a multinational, matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting across AP, AR, GL, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations; support close activities.
• Assist with financial statement preparation under US GAAP.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for EMEA entities.
• Maintain SOX controls and support internal and external audits.
• Support management reporting, variance reviews, and gross margin analysis.
• Update weekly EMEA cash forecast and support Treasury.
• Support Oracle finance systems and process improvements.
• Coordinate payroll with external provider and resolve discrepancies.
• Build relationships with finance teams across EMEA; occasional international travel.
