Job summary

Carbon 60, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with TEMPEST and EMC expertise for a Portsmouth-based 6-month contract.

You will contribute to ground-based satellite communications installations, from concept through verification and handover, ensuring TEMPEST and EMC compliance across the lifecycle. The role includes designing compliant architectures, generating test plans, coordinating with external test houses, and supporting secure defence deployments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of TEMPEST compliant installations.
• Understanding EMC requirements and compliance principles.
• Experience in system-level EMC design and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design compliant equipment installations and test plans.
• Generate compliance evidence for customer acceptance.
• Lead system lifecycle activities from design to handover.
• Capture stakeholder requirements and define system boundaries.
• Elicit and manage TEMPEST and EMC requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on compliant architectures.
• Prepare EMC and TEMPEST test plans and verification strategies.
• Coordinate with external test houses for certification.
