Job summary

Carbon60 is seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in EMC and TEMPEST compliance to join our aerospace and defence client in Portsmouth. You will contribute across the full system lifecycle, from concept through installation and handover, delivering compliant ground-based installations for MilSatcom programmes.

You will design, test and document compliance evidence, work with IT and engineering specialists, engage with external test houses, and ensure safety, security and export-control

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent in engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
• Membership of IET or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of compliant equipment installations and test plans.
• Generate compliance evidence and documentation to support customer acceptance.
• Lead verification, validation and integration activities.
• Define TEMPEST and EMC requirements and verification strategies.
• Collaborate with external test houses to define certification approaches.
• Support deployment and transition to service.
