Job summary

Carbon60 is seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in EMC and TEMPEST compliance to join a leading Aerospace & Defence organisation in Portsmouth. You will work across the full system lifecycle from concept to installation, verification and support, ensuring TEMPEST and EMC standards are met within regulated environments.

The role involves design of compliant equipment installations, producing test plans and compliance evidence, and coordinating with external test houses for certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
• Membership of the IET or equivalent professional institution is desirable.
• Experience with TEMPEST-compliant installations is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of compliant equipment installations and associated test plans.
• Generate compliance evidence and documentation to support customer acceptance.
• Lead verification, validation and integration activities.
• Lead engagement with external test houses to define certification approaches.
• Conduct systems modelling, analysis and performance assessments.
• Assess and manage the impact of design changes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Capture and analyse stakeholder requirements and expectations.
• Define system boundaries and architectural solutions.
