The Best Connection is recruiting an Embroidery Operative to join Schoolblazer Embroidery in Mansfield. You will work in a small, fast-paced team and support both heat seal and embroidery tasks from setup to finish.

Full training is provided, with attention to detail and reliable work ethic essential to help maximise output in a brand-new warehouse environment. Working hours are 8am-4pm Mon to Thurs and 8am-1pm Friday (off-peak); during peak season Friday may finish at 4pm.

Qualifications

• Good eye for detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work as part of a small team with good communication.
• Past embroidery or heat seal experience is a plus, but full training will be provided.

Responsabilités

• Heat seal applications: print and cut vinyl transfers, prepare garments, align under heat seal machine, check job sheets, and pick garments.
• Embroidery role: load templates, frame material, set machine functions and thread colours, tear backing, fold, bag and pack garments.
• Maintenance: keep equipment clean, replace needles, oil machinery, and maximise productivity.

The Best Connection are recruiting for an individual to join Schoolblazer Embroidery department as a Embroidery Operative.

Schoolblazer are the UK's leading supplier of uniform and sportswear to independent schools. Significant growth, in their brand new warehouse, means they are now looking to add to their warehouse team...

Following instructions from your Embroidery Department Manager, you will be responsible for:

Heat seal application

• Printing and cutting vinyl transfers so they are ready to be applied to garments
• Unpacking garments so they are ready for heat application
• Lining up garments correctly with the transfers under the heat seal machine to ensure the transfer is applied correctly.
• Checking job sheets for relevant information including, logos, sizes, products
• Picking garments

Embroidery role

• Loading templates on the embroidery machine
• Framing material ready for embroidering
• Setting the embroidery machine to the correct functions and loading with the correct colour threads.
• Tearing away backing, folding, bagging and packing garments
• Maintenance of equipment including replacing needles, cleaning and oiling machinery
• Ensuring high level of productivity and working efficiently to maximise output

As well as the above the candidate must have a good eye for detail, be able to work in a small team in a fast-paced environment. Past experience in any of the above is a plus however not crucial & our client are willing to provide full training.

Working hours / pay rate:

• 8am - 4pm, Mon to Thurs and 8am & 1pm Friday (Out of peak season)
• Fri 8am & 4pm (In peak season)
• £12.71 - £13.39 per hour DOE
