Job summary

Thales Group in Reading, United Kingdom, is seeking an Embedded Systems & Integration Engineer to develop and integrate software for an edge-computing system based on NVIDIA Jetson. The role covers integrating cameras, IMUs, GNSS, and storage into a Jetson platform, ensuring reliable operation with C++ processing and algorithms.

The ideal candidate will bridge hardware and software, handle carrier-board changes, interface adaptations, and OS adjustments.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating hardware with software in embedded systems.
• Ability to develop interfaces between hardware acquisition software and existing algorithms.
• Familiarity with Jetson platforms and embedded Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and maintain software on NVIDIA Jetson/Orin Nano platforms.
• Work with Ubuntu Linux in embedded environments and manage system resources.
• Integrate hardware peripherals and carrier boards; adapt interfaces and drivers as needed.
• Create test procedures for hardware/software integration and verification.
