Job summary

Danfoss in Edinburgh, UK is hiring an Embedded Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality of software powering next-generation control units for Digital Displacement Pumps. You’ll verify real-time control algorithms, build CI test environments, and develop automated system tests across construction, agriculture, and off-highway applications,

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with embedded systems knowledge.
Experience testing embedded software with Python and CI-based approaches.
Strong knowledge of C/C++ and hardware debug tools like JTAG.
Understanding of CI test strategies and unit testing.

Responsibilities

Verify and validate real-time control algorithms for embedded systems.
Create and maintain Continuous Integration test environments.
Design and implement automated system tests.
Establish quality gates for software release processes.
Document with version control in a collaborative workflow.
Improve test reports and dashboards for developers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across locations.
