Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Gloucestershire is seeking an embedded engineer to join the SATCOM team in Tewkesbury. You'll apply your knowledge of C and C++ for embedded applications and contribute to DO-178 software verification and validation as part of the project subtasks.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and suppliers to ensure compliance and support certification efforts, with opportunities to influence design and processes on mission-critical aviation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as software design engineer in either cellular or SATCOM sectors; DO-178 verification/validation
• Proficiency with Python or Linux
• Exposure to agile methods and source control systems
• Technical background in wireless communications and in particular modem/wireless transceiver architectures.

Responsibilities

• Has knowledge/experience of C and C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience with DO-178 software verification and validation.
• Contributing to planning and executing project subtasks to meet customer specifications; designing, testing, etc.
• Assists in the completion of products to achieve certification and customer acceptance.
