Job summary

Insignis Talent. STR Ltd in South East London is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop high‑reliability embedded software for mission‑critical systems. You will work across the full software lifecycle with C/C++, Embedded Linux and RTOS on dedicated hardware.

The role focuses on multi‑threaded, real‑time applications, software integration with embedded hardware, and collaboration with experienced hardware and systems engineers in an inclusive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
• Embedded Linux experience – essential.
• Experience with RTOS, such as VxWorks, Linux RT or FreeRTOS.
• Good understanding of multi-threading, task scheduling and real-time concepts.
• Experience integrating software with embedded hardware.
• Experience using Git and modern software development practices.

Embedded Software Engineer – Embedded Linux / RTOS

South East London | £65-68,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with strong Embedded Linux and C/C++ experience to join an R&D team developing high-performance software for mission-critical systems.

You’ll work across the full software lifecycle, developing and integrating real-time software with dedicated hardware platforms alongside experienced Hardware and Systems Engineers.
