Insignis Talent. STR Ltd in Greenwich is seeking an Embedded Software Team Leader to guide a small team of 3–4 engineers. The role combines leadership with hands-on C/C++ development and real-time software, around 60% coding. You'll work on high-reliability, mission-critical electronic systems and influence architectural and delivery decisions.

Hybrid arrangement in Greenwich offers collaboration with hardware teams and participation in product support and testing.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in embedded/real-time software.
• Experience with Linux, VxWorks or another RTOS.
• Experience developing high-reliability or mission-critical systems.
• Good understanding of software architecture.
• Full software lifecycle experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers.

Responsabilités

Are you an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with leadership skills looking for a new opportunity?

We're looking for a Team Leader to lead 3–4 software engineers while remaining around 60% hands-on with C/C++ development and technical delivery.

You'll work on high-reliability, mission-critical electronic systems where software performance and reliability are critical.

The Role

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 3–4 engineers.
• Remain 60% hands-on with C/C++ development.

About You

• Strong understanding of software architecture.
• Full software lifecycle experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers.
• Good knowledge of version control, ideally Git/Bitbucket.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Software, Electronics or a related discipline.

Desirable: DSP, FPGA/VHDL, cybersecurity, Agile/Scrum or embedded GUI experience.
